LazyTechGuys.com Accessory Review: The Adonit Jot Stylus w/Video

By david

If you take notes or draw on your tablet, you need to use a stylus. Yes your finger works fine but if you want precision and style, you want a Jot. The Jot is a great stylus that has the look and feel of a metal pen. You don’t have to hold it in any particular way, you just write/draw like you would on paper. Its precision disk is see-thru plastic so you know exactly where you’re drawing/writing so the accuracy is literally on point. If you’re afraid of breaking the disk, fret not. The pen also has a screw on cap that you’d screw on the tip or the back of the stylus so you don’t lose it. If you want to see the pen in action, check out our video review here.

Like I stated in the video, this stylus is a must for those that are using auto-cad software on your tablet or if you just want to take more legible notes. For only $19.99, this is a great investment. There’s only one consideration, the stylus does work on most screen protectors, but here are some that they struggle with:

  • Zagg Glossy Invisible Shield (but Smudge-Proof Invisible Shield works well)
  • Ghost Armor
  • Bodyguardz
  • Skinomi
  • Wrapsol

Aside from that, enjoy your new pen friend. You’ll be happy you bought it.
