Logos express the soul and vision of a company. It’s a symbol that embodies your brand and what you stand for. Unlike people, brands don’t have faces that come to mind when you think of them. What they do have is a specific style, attitude, and voice that we identify with.
In the last three years Adonit has grown quickly and it has caused us to step back at times and look at how we are presenting ourselves to our customers. Realizing that we had no core set of defined principles for who we are, we took 8 months and developed a strong core set of beliefs that has since influenced everything from imagery to products. Script is the first of many products to be launched over the coming months that have all had a strong influence by our brand.
Today, I wanted to step back and share the very first visible expression of our brand and the story behind it, our logo. Realizing we were designers designing a brand and product for designers, we needed to be very deliberate in sculpting a logo that was bold, purposeful, and passionate.
